sorry to drop in so late and without any relation to OP issue but just couldn't restrain myself .
I've read(~) "Atlas Shrugged" lately and think everybody should at least try to skip through it. It is a very poor literature (in my opinion of course!), some teenagers may find it good perhaps. I found it exasperating. But.
It is intense. Sometimes (seldom alas) so intense that it is almost good.
The main idea (simplified - you are only as much worth as your deeds and you should be judged upon them) is nothing one can disagree with - and this book really reminds one about it. At least I was reminded .

I must confess that from the middle of the book on I skipped all monologues of main characters longer then one page (some of them seemed to be 30-50 pages long).
