Restart calibre in debug mode by right-clicking on the preferences button and select "Restart in debug mode". Calibre will restart and show a prompt about the logging. Install the plugin and close calibre. In windows, the log will be opened. I'm not sure about the other plaforms, but you should be able to find the log file and post it.
