I don't think Coconut oil re-solidifies quite at 75, even though it melts at that. I keep some in my bathroom, as a skin oil, and it stays soft longer than I expect. So anyway, it's worth a try once! And besides, cats/dogs generally like straight up butter; why not straight up coconut oil? It's not the same as "grease".

Although they'd probably adore bacon grease too, no matter how yucky it sounds to us!
