I recall kobo giving Aus account holders a free book about 18 months or so ago. What pandemonium ensued!

I know I didn't know why it was added to my library and all my accounts got it. It was a romance genre book titled something like 7 nights in a rogue's bed, and the cover resemb led a tamish sex title book. Problem was it was dropping directly onto wifi connected devices that utilised the sync feature and unless you looked in My Library on the device or noticed the recently downloaded tile you didn't know it was there.

Sooooo ...... I recall that down in the kobo devices forum there was a thread where posters mentioned the inappropriateness of this cover and book being on their 7 year olds device; and another poster described how she and her father shared her device and wondered if her father's reading tastes had changed and didn't know how to broach the subject with him. Likewise he thought the daughter's reading tastes had changed and was too embarassed to mention it! Needless to say that at some point they sorted it out and discovered that it was a freebie just dropped by kobo onto their device!!
