When I asked for a refund on the defective product that they sold me they quoted the 14 day return policy to me. They didn't seem to care that during that 14 days their support people told me that this would be fixed "soon" and I shouldn't return it.
Moral of the story...never listen to BN support.

if you bought it in a store, you should try to return it. The return policy often gets lengthened this time of year because of the holidays. Pretty sure that kicks in during November.
