For the geeks here, it's pure text, so can be hacked to make small changes and corrections with a simple text editor then converted back to a more usual format like Mobi or ePub.
Just what we need--one more ebook format. haha

I do not remember ever hearing about it before. I'm sure that it is discussed on the applicable forum and thread on Mobileread. I try to stay away from the technical end of ebook creation, collecting, reading, etc.

Looking over the Wikipedia article, it looks like the format definitely has some things to commend it.
