While it is of course a tragedy if they do not come, that is not what I was referring to.
doubleshuffle seems to believe that a win derived from the hope of an avatar is no true win.
As evidenced by this post, it is.

Personally, I think he is taking that surprise gift of mine a little too hard.
I noticed right after he got it, he disappeared from the forums for several hours, and lost another opportunity to steal the win.
