On a bright note, at least there's an ePUBcheck plugin now. I'm quite appreciate of that. Makes it easier and faster to find what you've screwed up.
Shameless plug: The latest version of the KindleGen Sigil plugin will warn you, if the language and title metadata entries are missing. Unlike kindlegen, it'll also warn you if the cover image metadata entry or the recommended TOC and SRL Kindle guide items are missing. (It's backwards-compatible with Sigil 0.8.x.)
