Most Feedbooks.com Mobipocket/Kindle offerings have this problem (as they usually are UTF-8 encoded).

Note the number in parentheses i.e.
6 shows how many characters over that I had to go to find the first "<". If I could find one within the first 200-300 bytes, then I would print FIXED, otherwise I would just issue a WARNING.
I've always seen this behaviour with Feedbooks.com .prc/.mobi ebooks.
