firmware update hung on 626. is there a way out?
On my touch lux 2/ 626 firmware update hangs while performing the "database update...". The thing wasn't doing anything anymore for multiple days. Just hanging on that screen.
I had auto update enabled, but as I don't use wifi all the time, only last week it was performed. Can't even recall if it is actually the latest or not. When installing the new afte rhaving clicke you want to update the firmware it doesn't state version anymore, but I guess I'd have to be the latest.
As it wasn't doing anything for days accept being stuck on " database update...", so then there was nothing else left to do then power-off, even though it states not to do so of course, but what else was there left to do? Previous firmware update a Month or so ago worked just fine, only required a new version of rkomar's wonderful pbimageviewer.
when restarting one goes to the same selection screens (wifi, time synchronisation) and again it is hung on "database update...". Yes, I've got lots of books on it, that's the idea, isn't it, to us the space?
Books on internal storage and loads of .cbr's on SD card.
Retried without SD card, no luck.
Performed reset (keeping the power button in for more than 10 secs). Same result, firmware update starts, but gets hung again on "database update...".
Anyone else had that or solved it maybe?
