My understanding is they'll be building one based on Q-carbon, which will be impossible to scratch (being 60% harder than diamond) but also really heavy (being denser than diamond too). It will draw you in to books with its sheer (ferro)magnetism. And, of course, it will be glow in the dark. (Sure, the glow is of electrons, but let's not let that get in the way of the wild fantasising!)

(In reality, this stuff, though very new and awesome, is many years from commercialization.)
