Tried these fixes - which were the ones that iRex advised. Same results. The screen shows Connected to PC for a few seconds then the PC informs me that the device is not known and the screen goes back to Device Manager.
Unlike the iRex support the problem has not gone away.
Other sugestions gratefully received and tried.
