don't know, and without any shred of evidence to support it, I see no reason whatsoever to place any credence in your claim that self-published books that get promoted at MR are not representative of the wider market. You appear to be suggesting that only inept authors would come here; given that we are a site dedicated to readers and reading, that's a very peculiar idea.
