Keep in mind, that the O.P.'s original post was made as an off-topic comment in the topmost, hottest, thread of the time.
Obviously picked to get attention and a dead giveaway that the above quoted behavior applied.
Notimp's continued refusal to quote references for the things which are stated as facts only reinforces that first impression.
The style in which the opinions are presented, to include an attack against any differing opinion, often in the same sentence, is not an effective way to conduct a discussion.

The above is intended as a summary of my own observations, it is not an "attack" on the person, just one opinion on the style of writing that is in use by one person.
The one bit of slack that I will allow the author, is that it may not be intentional.
