If you did re register, it's possible that with all the hassles you had regarding ads, Amazon turned off the ads for you free of charge. When you reset and re registered, your new ad free status kicked in and now you no longer get ads.

Yeah I did register and the ads were gone like magic. I'm 100% sure I did not contact Amazon for ads issues just maybe Santa really exist.
