Is it possible to add eBooks to an External SD Card on an Android Tablet - to read through Aldiko?

I know I can put them on the External SD to import then in. But Aldiko creates a copy of them all on my tablet memory and it is getting very full!

Was hoping there was some way I could get Aldiko to just read them on the External SD.
I have gone into my Apps & tapped Aldiko move to SD Card. But that doesn't seem to move any books.
