No change in behavior.

Did a touch of /mnt/us/WIFI_NO_NET_PROBE as I did not see that in the instructions for bbb. In airplane mode, I still see a 7-8 second pause at the same "hang" point but everything comes up normally:

-rwxrwxrwx    1 root     root             0 Nov 25 16:56 /mnt/us/WIFI_NO_NET_PROBE

Disabling airplane mode continues to cause the hang/reboot, only way around it seems to be to connect to a computer during the 90 second pause.

I installed/removed the screen saver hack from this link:
