I might apply for the Chase Freedom Visa card for holiday shopping; the introductory perks and the 10 percent at Amazon are very tempting!
That card has nice perks. For some stores, if I go through the Chase Rewards window to get to their websites, I get extra % points in addition to the standard 1%. These stores include B&N 2%, Walmart 2%, Microsoft 3%, Sears 6%, Sam's Club 2%, Nordstrom 5%, Best Buy 1%, B&N Nook 2%, Staples 2%, Macys 6%, REI 3%, ToysRUs 1%, Apple Store 2%, Kmart 4%, Lowe's 3%, Petco 3%, PetSmart 4%.
