If you want to use calibre at end of your process, would it not be better to use calibre editor and ToC creation tools rather than Sigils - that's not a criticism of Sigil but... cooks, broth and al that.

The calibre ebook editor is very similar to Sigil, so the learning curve is not too difficult.

You'd then have one port of call for help in creating a lulu/apple compliant product.

Added : IMO converting is something best avoided unless you need to produce a 'not easy to create/edit' format
