Discover changes the "bonus" 5 percent every month and then there's usually a quarterly thing too. I think they also have a deal where you can spend your "bonus" cashback directly at Amazon.
The Amazon store card offers 5 percent back as a statement credit if you're a Prime member, 3 percent if you're not. But until these recent posts I didn't know that Visa or Discover ever offered that amount on anything--I even have a Discover card (which I never use).

I might apply for the Chase Freedom Visa card for holiday shopping; the introductory perks and the 10 percent at Amazon are very tempting!
