The points make no sense. Purely by random, I selected 2 books, 1 was worth $1.54 but could buy it for 2400 points. The other was $7.37 and could buy for 4000 points. So going by that the points don't have a set value.

Same here, I did it purely out of curiosity. And seeing how randomly the points are valued, I can't be bothered now more than ever.
