I have the same issue with my Sony Dtp-S1 and I was sad when I saw it because it had cost me nearly 1400 Euro(!) to import it with all accessories.
This is surprising as the device is made in Japan and I thought my beloved Sony knows enough about quality. Now I'm just living with it as I have no chance of warranty here in Germany and I've already laser engraved my device. Even if there are things that could be better the DPT-S1 is the device I wanted for years!
The only machine that could top it will be the Microsoft Surface Book.
