I would recommend you have a quick squiz at the font and display options before choosing a Kindle, if you haven't yet, just to check that they're fine for you - there are only three options for margin and line spacing, for example. In good news, the new Bookerly font is much easier to look at (for me, and quite a few others) than Caecilia.

Thanks for 'persuading' me to look up the Kindle font/display options.
I ended up remembering another dislike of my NST: the sunken display that doesn't sit flush with the bezel. Unless I'm mistaken, the Kindle Voyage is the only current option from Amazon/B&N/Kobo that offers that feature, though. I'm not a super hardcore reader, so I don't know that I can justify the price jump for it.
