Sorry to burst your misinformed bubble, Tony, but most of the country is run by "old" people.

I come from a long line of intelligent family members who lived well into their 90's and died with their minds still sharp as tacks. And while I wear glasses for distance, my near vision is 20/20, as well as my mother, who's approaching 90 and still a voracious reader.

People lose interest in things as they get older because they have done so much. or
cant do it anymore.Books are no different. You said yourself that its harder to find things to read. Thats age and experience talking.

Just putting that new ereader never coming out or buying a supply of a dozen or so current models into perspective thats all.

Anyways there WILL be a new voyage...you will not be using the current model 30 years from now and if kindles are still being made you will have the new better one. So i would save your money.
