LOL, Harry, I've asked myself that very question so many times. I honestly don't know why I feel compelled to get a replacement before I need it. The only reason I can think of is fear.
I've always upgraded my devices when new versions come out. But the older I get, the closer I am to approaching a time when I might not be able to afford to plunk down $200 whenever I feel like it. Or maybe I
will be able to afford it, but the Voyage will no longer be available; and maybe I won't like the current model.
The fear of thinking that my Kindle might break at a time when I can't replace it, drives me to want to buy one now, while I'm still able to.
I've always had that fear, but until now, there's always been new features that I hoped for in future Kindles, so I've never felt "finished".
However, the Voyage is the first Kindle that I'm
completely satisfied with and have no more need to upgrade. So if I had more than one Voyage, I could happily live the rest of my life without ever needing to buy another Kindle.
