Are you sure you really want more than one lines per one book? In my opinion, it's really not something to recommend, and I don't see any benefits. But if you want to store various formats as separate books, you could just add formats separately - Calibre will give you a message about duplicates, which you can then ignore. Again, not sure about the benefits.
If you want to send specific formats to a device or save them outside of Calibre, there are options available for that (just use the right-click menu).
If you want to copy pdfs only to a new library, there is no direct option for that (from what I see) - but you could copy all or selected books to that library and then use the option 'Remove files/Remove files of a specific format from selected books'.
