I learned that one when I contracted plantar-oral insertion disease.
I told a physics professor that I didn't know if he could help me with an algebra problem.
To his credit, he didn't openly laugh and yes he helped with the problem.
Of course then he shared what I had said with the math department.
By the way plantar is foot, oral is mouth. So I put my foot in my mouth.
