I also get frequent freezes. Many of these are caused by a fouled IR touchscreen. It helps to clean the IR portion of the screen (the interior edges). Or try using the physical page turn buttons. Othertimes, it just freezes up.
Over time the freezes seem to go away on their own. I haven't had a freeze in a couple days now.
