This morning I tried Calibre 2.43 again after having to back up to 1.48. It didn't freeze, worked with Kindle Voyage. Still doesn't recognize the iphone 6s Plus and Marvin (latest version from app store with phone running iOS 9.1) Calbre does recognize my ipad mini first generation with Marvin 2.3 (when it was a free app for ipad only). So all works as it always did expect the new iphone and Marvin iphone app running IOS 9.1. I have no idea why it froze like it did the other night except when Calibre didn't recognize Marvin on the iPhone I tried the content server route and it may have hung up there. Backing up to 1.48 seemed to solve that, so I tried going back to 2.43, which worked fine.
the only thing I could pulll out of console this morning relative to Calibre and the iphone and Marvin was this message:
11/11/15 7:18:22.819 AM calibre[2060]: libpng warning: iCCP: Not recognizing known sRGB profile that has been edited
I still wonder about the error message I had the other night, 'No module named PYQt5.'
At least the Kindle Voyage is my default reader and the iphone is when I'm stuck without it. I keep only the book I'm reading on Marvin and I can dig that out of the calibre library and drop and drag it into Marvin on Itunes.
looking through Console a bit more I found this. Seems like trying to connect mobile device but then quit.
