Not in my case... At least not with portable devices.

Siemens S35i: 2001-2009. Battery at ~30%. Wanted navigation: replaced by smartphone.

Samsung Galaxy Tab: jan 2012-current. Battery at ~70% or so. No upgrade planned.

If nothing unfortunate happens and no huge upgrades come along that I either need or want, I'll be using my current devices for a few years yet.
