Not true. The thread view on MR is fixed, so no matter what browser or window size you use, the thread will always be the same pixel width - Except when breaking it with an image that is too big.
This is of course not true if you use non-standard zooming settings/mess with CSS to break the standard view, but that argument is pretty pointless of course.
