Using Kobo as a screen

I've got a Kobo H2O and I was thinking of using my old Glo for a project as a screen. Given that it has wi-fi, and the KSM looks to unblock so much functionality, is there any way to do this already implemented? (so like a network screen app or api)

If not, I'm an embedded programmer with nix experience, so it doesnt look that hard to me, yet, as I have no idea on how the kobo screen works, is there any guru out there that could give me some starting pointers?

PS: For my project in particular, it might be possible just by pushing html to the device and a simple script to keep it reloading, but a more complete solution could be handy (like controling screen light and preventing sleep).
