An odity on Download Metadata
No complaints just curious. I added 2 books in a series with identical title layouts:
Ep.#13 - "A Show of Force" (The Frontiers Saga) || amazon:B00VKPIXO4
Ep.#14 - "The Weak and the Innocent" (The Frontiers Saga) || amazon:B0147R0CJA
Ep,#13 on Goodreads download split out series to correctly show:
Title: A Show of force Series: The Frontiers Sage [13] || Note quotes stripped ||
On Amazon it didn't change the title or the series. Good job Goodreads!
Now the curiosity:
Ep.#14 on goodreads download showed:
Title: Ep.#14 - "The Weak and the Innocent" (The Frontiers Saga) (Volume 14)
Series: blank
It left the title in tact and added (Volume 14) to the end.
Okay, I figured it out. The Goodreads title of #13 is: A Show of Force (The Frontiers Saga, #13) while #14 is: The Weak and the Innocent" (The Frontiers Saga) (Volume 14). So it is set up from the title.and I thought it must be a magic code.
Nothing to fix unless some magic coder is bored and has time ti play. But if it all were magic I click Amazon to buy it and it would appear finished in Calibre. How boring would that be?
