I don't know what the difference is between a Walmart and a Walmart supercenter, -- I don't shop in either -- but Meijer is a full grocery store (with a bakery, meat counter, deli, and pharmacy) as well as a nicer -- consistently good quality -- discount department store. They have gas stations too. You really can get everything you need there. Their slogan used to be (and might still be) "One Stop Shopping."

(My issue with Walmart is that I am always eventually unhappy with what I bought there, so much so that I actively avoid them to go to Target or Meijer instead. Just my own preference, but I don't know what the distinctions are between the different kinds of Walmarts or even if they are actually all the same.)
