@BetterRed, I don't know if the calibe-portable.exe launcher passes CLI switches.
I don't know if it doesn't either I've never tried.

But @Methanoid, you are wrong when you say there is no PortableApps.com launcher for calibre.

It is just not on the main apps page, because it is "experimental".
What that really means is calibre is updated weekly and they have no time to keep it up to date.

It copies the binaries for the App\Calibre folder from the "official" Calibre Portable, and updates from it as well.

Not exactly production-ready for the Portable App Directory.

Now, I would like if Calibre Portable were in PA.com format, because they have put a lot of effort into creating a powerful and standardized format, and there is no need to reinvent the wheel.

Maybe calibre could collaborate with PA.com the way LibreOffice does, but then again lots of GPL software is portableized and still only LibreOffice collaborates on it...
