Let me reclarify what I thought was clear.

Is the i86 worth an additional $100. (approx.) over the replacement cost for the 840 if my usage is limited to its capabilities as an ereader for ePub and Mobi books?

Yes, I had looked at the items mentioned by Medwatt so I had done my "due diligence" and was simply looking for users reviews focused on my personal usage limitations above.

PS: have decided to go the replacement route for my damaged Pocketbook 840 rather than getting the i86.
