Hi to all,

My PB 840 Inkpad just suffered a cracked substrate and is "down for the count"! I have no idea what I may have inadvertently done to cause the crack or whatever else may have caused it.

I have been offered a 20% discount from PB for a new unit as there is no USA repair facility.

My question is as follows: Can I get a brief review of the i86 ML in reference to utilizing it only for e-reading purposes including the fact that I sideload the vast majority of my books.

I use the Prestigio ereader on both my tablet and smartphone along with occasionally using the Kindle ap.

While I hesitate to spend the $279.00 required for the i86, I also hesitate to invest an additional $172.00 for a second 840 not knowing what caused the substrate to crack.

I simply want an 8 inch screen on a unit that will produce a reasonably trouble free and positive reading experience. Also any problems with substrate cracking?

Thanks in advance for a limited use review of the i86 ML.
