Making periodicals possible in anything other than mobi would be a good start. At least that means we could have Calibre hyphenate them for us -- as it is, unless you're using a Paperwhite old enough to run ixtab's hyphenation hack, we're still stuck with unhyphenated periodicals. This is doubly bizarre because hyphenation in the real world is considered essential for periodicals (in part because they are columnar, but also because a lot of periodicals use rather long words as these things go...). As it is, I'm planning to upgrade to the new Voyage when it comes out, but the loss of mobi hyphenation makes it almost a downgrade in some ways.

We are not remotely close to a 'done' e-reader yet.
