well new phone is purchased. at this point the best I can do is take it as a tax deduction.

re: misbehaving kids... when I was traveling for work all of the time, like weekly, I found that my seat was occupied by a kid that was part of a family of 5 traveling together (single mother, or at least mother traveling alone). the kids ranged in age from 3ish to about 17. every. single. one. of. them. were out of control. they were throwing things back and forth, shrieking and generally appalling. they had more or less taken over all of the left and right row seats. I just kept on going, didn't even get into the; "excuse me you're in my seat" conversation. I found another seat a few rows further back next to... adults. eventually the person whose seat I was occupying showed up. when the stewardess got involved she began insisting that I resume my assigned seat. I flat out refused and honestly thought I might get booted from the flight. eventually another seat was found and the late comer placed in it. unfortunately this family was a racial minority and I couldn't help but think after the fact that many people thought that was my issue. like I said, I thought about it after the fact, that is how little race had figured into my refusal.

shrieking children make my ovaries cringe
