I was unfortunately not able to install Microsoft litt reader on my PC, and I lost about 25 books. Not the end of the world but still .

Not so long ago I found some books that were protected by several long lost credit card codes. Also lost.

Lesson: Praise for Calibre and apprentice Alf.
I also had a lot of LIT files. There was a program called ConvertLit that I downloaded several years ago. It cleaned the files and then Calibre converted them just fine. Don't know if it is still available. I don't have it anymore. That was several computers ago. You might try to Google it.

I kind of miss Microsoft Reader. It seems reading was easier then. You could buy ebooks anywhere in LIT format and they just worked. You weren't tied to any one store.
