If they come decent priced out the gate that is different, but if its a high price, for me that is, then it goes on a wishlist at the library. I think when one reads a lot, there are lots of great books lined up to read next so not really a lack of things to pick from. And since I do vetting, I expect to enjoy pretty much all of them. Of course they are all different books, but I can still enjoy them all on a similar level anyway.

But since I want to read ALL THE BOOKS anyway, it doesn't matter which ones I read first. They aren't going anywhere.
In all honesty that book I specifically mentioned, I proofread another author's book for an Amazon gift card. So didn't have to save pennies.

Like you, I haven't found any expiration dates on books.
Right now, my bathtub reading is "All the President's Men" by Woodward and Bernstein.
