Choff links broken

First off, thank you for all the very helpful posts on this forum!
I own a Kindle 4 and am looking to port a piece of software and I will need OTG support.

Looking through the posts on mobileread I find a bunch of references to http://www.christian-hoff.com/ who seems to have done a bunch of work on the K4

eg:
https://www.mobileread.com/forums/arc.../t-226516.html
Spoiler:
These are the kindle 4 notes. Which I am working through now...

http://www.christian-hoff.com/?p=16 Back up Kindle 4 kernel and extract initramfs

http://www.christian-hoff.com/?p=44 Compiling Kindle 4 kernel

http://www.christian-hoff.com/?p=139 USB Host on the Kindle 4

https://www.mobileread.com/forums/arc.../t-187802.html
Spoiler:
I then proceeded to follow Choff's K4 instructions (http://www.christian-hoff.com/?p=44). I'll take some liberties with the order of things because I ran into plenty of dead ends and had to backtrack. Of course that's on me, not Choff. Anyway, the first thing needed was a copy of the initramfs. I extracted this myself using Choff's instructions but it looks like knc1 determined it is GPL'd and, as such, has posted it here (https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...9&postcount=29).

These links however are down. The page is still there (git as well) but no access to the posts.

Does anyone know if this is temporary? Where else might I find good writups on compiling and enabling OTG support?

many thanks
Jesse
