Think about who buy the voyage. They are some combination of
* gadget freaks who want the latest and greatest
* heavy e readers who can justify spending more for what they use most
* people with disposable income for whom an additional $80 isn't a huge deal
* people who really really want buttons, even pseudo buttons
This is not a huge group. No surprise it doesn't sell as well.
But I disagree with the blogger cited by nate who says the voyage may go the way of the DX. The DX appealed to an even smaller segment and butt-headed with tablets and lost. It was too expensive at the start and then too outdated at the end.
