3) you can open the plug and rewire it to 3v. It has the chip PL2303HX on the board.In the controller description (

"
Flexible signal level requirement on the RS-232 serial port side also allows the PL-2303HX to connect directly to 3.3V ~ 1.8V devices."
Does anyone have experience with a converter with this chip (PL2303HX or PL2303HXD) and can confirm that it works?
