The Party is in full swing and so far a big success. We have 18 kids in total, our 2 plus 16 overnighting. 7x 11 years old, 4x 13 years old, 7x 15 years old. Does the dog count too ?

We made a huge Pumpkin out of Papier Maché (that book is really good and gave us great ideas), also made a tombstone with a RIP sign, decorated the whole lower floor with huge spiderwebs, including spiders, made bats out of toilet roll paper and trash bags and hanged them from the ceiling upside down (they look so cute though, we put glow sticks ion their heads so their eyes are glowing in the dark). 3 skeletons are watching from corners. No electric lights, only artificial candles.

The kids all have brilliant costumes !!! We have 1 skeleton, 1 harry potter, 1 little riding red hood, 1 big bad wolf, 1 snow white, 2 vampires, 1 zombie, 1 clockwork orange (obviously the parents are behind that idea), 1 ghost, 1 buffy, 1 chuckie, 1 dead bride (it's a boy, and he looks brilliant), 1 joker, 1 voldemort, 1 morticia, and only 2 kids without costumes (they just landed from NY and had no time to create a costume). The costumes are fantastic, those kids really put lot of time into making them, I am amazed..

The big ones are now telling the small ones scary stories. You can tell who has an older brother or sister, and who has not. My daughter is so blasé, while other friends of her are really scared.

My husband did a lot of work to decorate everything for us, and is now free to lounge in front of the TV upstairs, while I am on watch. This is going to be a long night..
