No can do (as of today).
calibre automatically pads the number according to the renamed files.
If the renamed files start at 6 and go to 10, then they all get padded to two digits.
If they are all 1-digit numbers (1 to 5) they won't get padded.
I would name them chapter02-image-1 etc.
