TBH, partly a joke, everyone was chipping in with various date/time systems
Although, saying that, most things fascinate me so go ahead.
I only know the basics in that the numbers work mostly like Roman Numerals.
So the hieroglyphics numbers match like
Upstroke = I = 1
Heelbone = X = 10
Rope = C = 100
Lotus plant = M = 1000
But without the additive/subtractive method of the order of roman numerals.
It's been a while since I read anything about it but there was a Hieratic system that came later (had to look up the name
).
I know next to nothing about the dating system though, so please, educate away.
