I can't see knocking myself out on the contest, when the odds of getting a (single-use) code of over 50% are only 0.85% and the odds of doing better than 55% are only 0.35%. On average, it would take 30 emails and 300 entries to get one significantly better code and then there's the lag in registering the correct answer. Moreover, the 50% code sees to be working flawlessly, while high contest codes sometimes are duds, requiring more quality time spent with Kobo CS.
