The first couple of chapters I kept thinking I was going to abandon it, but I didn't, and then I got totally caught up in it. I could wish it was at a slightly higher reading level, and there are a couple of clankers in it where the word or expression used would not have been used by a British person of 1940. But I ultimately enjoyed it and bought the next in the series.

Finished #2 in the Maggie Hope series,
Princess Elizabeth's Spy. I enjoyed it, and I'll probably read further in the series, but I'm going to break things up before I do the next ones. Instead, next up is
Kris Longknife: Unrelenting, #13 in the Kris Longknife series from Mike Shepard. This should be a quick, fun read.
