YouTube Red -- YouTube will launch a new video/music subscription service tomorrow (28 Oct). Called YouTube Red, it will run $9.99 per month and includes a free subscription to Google Play Music.

When can I get YouTube Red?
It’s almost here. Check back to youtube.com/red to sign up for YouTube Red, launching in the U.S. on October 28, 2015.

YouTube Red is a paid membership that gives you an amplified video and music experience across YouTube. There are several features included in your YouTube Red membership:
  • Ad-free videos: Watch videos without interruptions whenever you sign in to your account on youtube.com or the YouTube app on your mobile device or compatible Smart TV/Gaming Console.
  • Save offline: Save videos and playlists from the YouTube mobile app to watch offline when you aren’t connected to the internet.
  • Background play: Continue playing videos on your mobile device while using other apps or when your screen is off.
  • Free Google Play Music subscription: Included at no additional cost.
If you are a Google Play Music subscriber, you already have access to YouTube Red; just make sure that you’re signed into the same account on YouTube and Google Play. Note that both services must be available in your country for this to work.

Rented and purchased movies or TV shows and paid channel subscriptions are not compatible with YouTube Red benefits.
